Kathrein Solutions GmbH and its integration partners offer turnkey AutoID solutions including hardware, software, services and support. From initial proof-of-concept to go-live implementation, Kathrein and its integration partners support customers with applications for logistics, industrial automation, healthcare and vehicle identification. By being able to offer all the necessary components and tools from a single source, we can develop the most efficient solutions for our customers.

From track-and-trace visualization to the seamless integration of any type of identification technology - including solutions such as barcodes, active RFID systems and wide area network technologies - we combine the most suitable functionalities and generate interfaces to all standard ERP systems on the market. We and our partners also offer RF simulation, application support, software integration and implementation as well as operation and maintenance. First-class service and customer-oriented support round off our portfolio.

Our state-of-the-art test and application center in Stephanskirchen provides the ideal basis for new challenges and solutions for specific customer requirements. The test center is equipped with state-of-the-art antenna and high-frequency measuring devices as well as a high-speed conveyor so that even time- and speed-critical applications can be tested. Carrying out all tests on behalf of customers ensures the continuous further development of innovative solutions.

KATHREIN is founded by engineer Anton Kathrein as a workshop for the manufacture of lightning protection systems. With the advent of radio broadcasting a few decades later, the company turned to antenna construction as its main production focus.

Anton Kathrein, grandson of the founder of KATHREIN, took over as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of KATHREIN SE.

This marked the beginning of a new chapter in the more than 100-year history of the family business. As part of the replacement of all obligations, Anton Kathrein initially took over as Chairman of the Supervisory Board before succeeding Harald Johanning-Meiners in the role of CEO in 2024. This successfully completed the transformation process of KATHREIN SE that he and CEO Harald Johanning-Meiners had helped to initiate.

Launch of the new 4th reader generation. The development of these RFID readers is based on experience and innovation. The well-known flexibility of the previous reader families is paired with the latest technology and innovative power to solve the upcoming requirements for IoT applications. New features and functions have been added that were previously missing on the market.

With this new series of readers, KATHREIN Solutions has Best Product 2025 at LogiMAT in the category "Identification, packaging and loading technology, load securing". This prestigious prize is awarded to innovative products that contribute significantly to rationalization, cost savings and increased productivity in internal logistics.
