There are around 20 million cars on the road in the country and the number is growing every day. Many of these cars are very old and some are not registered. The number of accidents per year is one of the highest in the world. These are many reasons that speak for a new, innovative and comprehensive solution for vehicle identification.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Solution <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In order to meet the requirements of an entire country, strong local partners are needed to take the issue into their own hands. Together with Go+, Kathrein Solutions was able to set up an end-to-end high security solution for optimal identification of vehicles in multi-lane free flow. The windshield transponders and headlamp tags will be used throughout the country. They are based on NXP's GEN2V2 UCODE\u00ae DNA technology with 128-bit AES encryption. With its pioneering semiconductor technology, NXP offers the standard and the basis for the required high security requirements. Thanks to a specially destructible antenna structure, various cuts and a VOID surface, the tag also offers an extremely high level of protection against removal and reuse. These transponders are encoded on site under official protection by a specially developed personalization machine. To complete the security chain, the Kathrein RAIN\u00ae RFID hardware used also includes the GEN2V2 standard and supports UCODE\u00ae DNA. Kathrein's RRU 4500 reader in combination with the wide-range 30\u00b0 antenna ensures lane-selective identification of the vehicles. Supported by an ANPR (Automated Number Plate Recognition) camera, visual data from the license plate, together with the read RAIN\u00ae RFID data, can be transmitted to the backend via an interface. An external high-security module ensures secure communication from each highway bridge to the government backend.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Result<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The contactless GS1 UHF RFID Gen2 v2.0 technology offers end-to-end identification with 128-bit AES encryption for tag authentication, which also delivers top performance at high speeds.
