KATHREIN Solutions transfers CrossTalk RFID software to IoT Invent

  • KATHREIN Solutions' strategic focus on core competencies and hardware-oriented solutions
  • Crosstalk RFID Software returns to its technological roots
  • Long-term maintenance and support services for customers

KATHREIN Solutions is transferring the CrossTalk RFID software to July 1, 2026 to its long-standing development partner, IoT Invent GmbH. In doing so, the RFID reader specialist is ensuring the long-term support and further development of the platform. With this transition, KATHREIN Solutions is pursuing its strategic realignment. The company intends to focus more strongly on its core competence: providing hardware-oriented solutions.

„The CrossTalk RFID software has grown over many years in collaboration with IoT Invent. With this transfer, we are creating a strong long-term outlook for the product and its customers. At the same time, we are continuing to consistently refine the strategic focus of KATHREIN Solutions,“ says Thomas Brunner, Managing Director of KATHREIN Solutions.

With this transition now complete, CrossTalk RFID Software is returning to its technological roots. IoT Invent developed the software for automatic object identification and data capture and has continued to refine it in collaboration with KATHREIN Solutions over many years. Both companies intend to continue working closely together in the future.

For existing customers, the transition will be carried out in close coordination between the two companies. Maintenance and support services will continue to be provided. Customers will receive personalized assistance from their designated contacts to ensure a smooth transition.
