From the production of license plates to the establishment of a central registration register, the company takes care of all the steps required to successfully and securely identify vehicles. With the RFID-based IDePLATE system, we have developed an electronic security license plate that protects against manipulation and fraud and at the same time enables intelligent applications. TÖNNJES products are already in use in many countries around the world. We operate more than 50 subsidiaries and joint ventures in Europe, Africa, Asia, North and South America. By establishing local production and sales companies, we are able to act as a service provider for the respective regulatory authorities or traffic police. We employ around 2,000 people worldwide. The Tönnjes family began its business activities in 1832 in Delmenhorst, where the production facility is still in operation today and acts as an important technology supplier for us.
