3 locating modes for the right precision

Localization applications always focus on two parameters. The localization accuracy and frequency. There are applications that require precise position determination. The end position of a movement is recorded with high precision. This is mainly used for movements in warehouses or in production. The alternative to this is permanent detection of the travel distance, with somewhat less accurate intermediate values, but which allows the travel distance or travel range (heat map) to be evaluated quickly. This mode is mainly used when switching between certain detection areas, e.g. when moving from production to the warehouse. As these two modes may not be used outdoors in all countries, Kathrein has introduced the Angle of Arrival mode for this application. All three modes are supported by the K-RTLS solution from Kathrein Solutions.

RTLS integration and commissioning

Kathrein Solutions has thought ahead: depending on requirements, the system can be integrated directly via an API driver interface or via the powerful CrossTalk RTLS infrastructure. The software algorithms required to determine the position are integrated into the hardware and always provide the same precise location of the objects, regardless of the respective integration strategy.
